After weighing it up for a few weeks I've decided to take part in the 5km Swim Challenge on Sunday 3 December in Renmore Galway. It's an event run by Predator Triathlon Club in East Galway.

Let's be clear...I will be doing the shorter 2.5km event, but it is a distance I have never achieved before and is a real ambition of mine to get there.

All donations will go straight to Galway Hospice, a great cause.

Any few bob will be greatly accepted and appreciated.
