In 2016 my husband was on life support for 3 months. For 6 weeks he was critically ill in Cork University Hospital. During that very traumatic time, we lived in Bru Columbanus. We had an ensuite room, fabulous cooking facilities and a very comfortable home from home. This made such a difference to us as a family, allowing us to be close to my husband, without any financial burden. Bru Columbanus relies 100% on fundraising. Please support this fantastic facility by donating 5 euro in lieu of a Christmas gift, and donate your presence to someone instead of the present. In a time of media connection, we are becoming very disconnected from each other. Spend some time with someone, either in person or through a phone call. Make Christmas special for you, and for someone you care about; and help the wonderful work of Bru Columbanus.
Bru Columbanus provides "home from home" accommodation to the relatives of seriously ill patients in Cork Hospitals and the Hospice, in particular relatives of sick children.
