Hi Folks,
I will be climbing Mount Aconcagua in Argentina in February 2024. Standing at 6,962m tall, Aconcagua is the second highest of the Seven Summits, the tallest peak in the world outside the Himalaya and the apex of both the Southern and Western Hemispheres. It sits along the Andes Mountains spine, roughly equal distance between the stunning South American towns of Mendoza, Argentina and Santiago, Chile. I am using the challenge as an opportunity to raise funds for a charity organisation called FirstLight.
FirstLight is a charity close to my heart that provides free nationwide professional support to bereaved parents and families. They provided fantastic support to us when our first son, David, died unexpectedly in 2009. He was 14 months old, otherwise healthy, but didn’t wake up one morning. Our world fell apart at the time, but FirstLight helped us through the grieving process and our darkest times and ultimately instilled some hope for the future.
All costs associated with the trip and the climb to Aconcagua are covered by me and any funds raised through the iDonate page will go directly to FirstLight (www.firstlight.ie CHY 7716, CRA 20017651).
I would be grateful if you would consider supporting this challenge and contributing to FirstLight through this secure sponsorship page:

Sincere thanks in advance for your kindness and generosity.
Oliver.
