On 20th December 2017, there are 3,300 homeless children in Ireland. I had already decided to enter the 29km Gaelforce Dublin race and registered some weeks back. When I heard those statistics, right in the week of Christmas, I thought 'Perhaps I/We can help in some small way'. While my wife and I busily run around arranging things for Christmas Day, there are so many out there with a more basic concern and if we can help in any way, then the humanity in us all should make us contribute what we can.
