Both Neill and Michael are active members of Meath River Rescue and were approached by Meath Daily TV to participate in their Commit to be Fit 2018 project.
The guys saw it as an ideal way to rasie awareness for the organisation and raise funds in the process.
The last 2 months saw Meath River Recue take part in a search operation for 2 missing men on the River Boyne. The search lasted a total of 31 days.
Such a search puts a lot of stress on equipment such as boats and engines - our page is specifically looking to raise funds to allow the Rescue to upgrade their engines.

Meath River Rescue was established in 1996, by a group of local swimmers and divers. It was decided to base it in the Navan region at the junction of the Boyne and Blackwater rivers. The founders consisted of six members and grew over time to the present membership of twenty.
