The Kerry Hanaphy Clinic, South William Street, Dublin 2, is honoured to announce its partnership with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre to highlight the range of supports available from the DRCC and to raise vital funds for the organisation’s support services with the ‘Read Our Lips’ initiative.
Ireland’s Lip Queen, Kerry Hanaphy and her team of award-winning clinicians will be opening their doors to customers on Sunday 11th February , with all proceeds from the day being donated to the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. In addition to this, customers can support the cause by purchasing branded t-shirts priced at €20 from the South William Street Clinic, or donating online at: www.idonate.ie/kerryhanaphydrcc.
When sexual violence occurs, the DRCC offers a range of supports including a national 24-hour helpline, face-to-face counselling, and accompaniment services. They also advocate on behalf of survivors of sexual violence to help ensure that they have access to responsive and sensitive services provided by law enforcement officials, medical personnel and the courts. Nobody is ever excluded from counselling services because of money difficulties.
Commenting on the campaign, aesthetics clinic MD Kerry Hanaphy said; “ We’re delighted to launch the Read Our Lips initiative to help the DRCC in their challenge of eliminating tolerance of sexual violence. We want to play our part in the fight-back against sexual harassment and assault by breaking down the stigma attached to discussions of sexual abuse.”
