My little boy Cian is six years old and has Aspergers Syndrome which is a form of Autism, we have two other boys at home too, Daniel nine and Aodhán who is four.

Life can be very stressful & outings are few and far between for us as a family. A dog would help us to do the simple everyday tasks that most people and families would take for granted be that going to the supermarket/local shop, cinema, shopping centre, playground and even birthday parties can be difficult for Cian.

Night-times are very tough as Cian doesn't sleep very well at all. A sleep buddy is needed for us all to get a nights sleep.

As a family we are all doing Jog For A Dog this year and I might even end up with my four year old on my back, but all worth it as we are fundraising for an Assistance Dog for Cian and everything raised will go to My Canine Companion.
