Hi my name is Simba, asylum seeker and a concerned citizen of Galway. When i came in the country i was warmly welcomed especially by the people of galway thus why i have come together with different groups ( The Direct Provision Center, AMACH LGBTI,Failte Refugee Society, Galway Intergration Consortium and The Bridge Project) to mark the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination by hosting a charity walk to raise funds for 2 Galway charities; Cope Galway and Galway Simon and give back to the community. We are raising funds to asssist with the homelessness situation in our city by climbing diomand hill in connemera national park. All proceeds will be donated to; Cope-galway and Galway Simon as they are the two of many organisation offering emergency accomodation and food to the homeless.

COPE Galway are a Galway charity that deliver essential services to people experiencing homelessness and domestic abuse, and provide supports for healthy and active ageing in older people. Since the 1970s, COPE Galway has been working with community partners, groups, businesses and individuals to continue providing these services and develop innovative initiatives that directly benefit the people we serve. We are responsive to the needs of people in the Galway community, across the city and coun
