IPT takes about 600 children to Lourds for a week's holiday at Easter each year. The children may have chronic medical illnesses or special needs. They are in small groups of about 10 children and 12 carers including a nurse. There is very good medical cover and this gives paretns reassurance that their child will be well looked after. While the children have a holiday it is also a chance for some families to have much needed respite. I have travelled with IPT as a carer for over 30 years and so appreciate what a special week this is for the children- the fun friendships they make and how it helps their self confidence and self esteem.
ALL funds will go towards paying childrens costs. I pay all my own costs for the cycle and week in Lourds.
