To swim 13km Clare to Galway is a mammoth task for me but its a drop in the ocean compared to the fight against Cancer.

Event Details

I lost a cousin to cancer this year and I have two cousins currently fighting it. Cancer Care West is a fabulous charity offering very much needed services to Cancer sufferers in the region. This 13km swim is an incredible challenge for me  (at 50) but  I will be proud to participate in it, and hopefully complete it. I took up swimming 2.5yrs ago managing 200m. I have put in lots of lengths of the pool since but I still have such a long way to go.

The event on the 21st July provides the challenge (and some fun) but the goal is to raise the funds so that Cancer Care West can continue to provide this critical service.
