My name is Angela and I am not a runner.
So why am I running 10km in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon on June 3rd, 2018? Because the Dublin Rape and Crisis Centre needs all the help it can get. All funds raised will go directly to them.
This is about providing help for the 2,467 women, men and children who needed counselling and support from the RCC in 2010. This is about awareness, education and most of all prevention. This is about no one having to go through something so tremendously difficult and painful on their own. This is about abolishing the fear and shame that prevents women from coming forward and receiving the medical, legal and psychological assistance that they deserve.
If you're aware of it, or not, we all know someone who has be affected by sexual assault or rape. #EveryStep counts so please donate what you can.
