The Four charities chosen, were chosen by a combination of factors, close to us, close to our families and our friends. Each plays an integral part in our communities. We are lucky enough to be able to take on our challenge both mentally and physcially. We wish everyone could - however - not everyone is so lucky. These organisations in various ways help people recondition their lives, particate in life, and indeed save lives. There is not much more we can say.
Funds will be split - 4 ways. So hopefully if we make our target - that will be €2500 per charity.

One thing we can shout about though is - HOW do you fancy winning a weekend trip to France with your car and collecting a bootload of wine into France? All compliments of Irish Ferries and Marble City Travel next April.
Well - here's how you go about it. When you donate. Select a time you think it'll take the 3 lads to complete their races. You get 3 opportunities. We're calling them spring, summer and autumn.
Spring race - Victor, Stevie and Tom - expected total race times - 37.5 hours. Last race - Stevie in Lanzarote. First race - Victor and Tom and in California
Summer races - Stevie in Hamburg, Tom in UK (Bolton) - 25 hours.
Autumn races - Stevie in Barcelona, Victor in Barcelona, Tom in Maryland, Wales and Florida - total expected times - 67.50 hours.
Yes it's a total guess. Bikes break, arses break, legs fall off, punctures, weather..........the list of possibilities is endless. BUT - the lads are aiming at their own personal times.
Stevie is aiming for his best time yet - so he'll aim for about 10 hours, Victor - well he's doing it for the hell of it (yea right), and Tom - if he doesn't stop to try and flog a few holidays or eat a field of sandwiches - he's aiming for about 15 hours. On each raceday a tracker will pop up and you can follow the lads progress.
You can enter as often as you want. But once each series is over - closest to the time wins that slot. There will be 3 slots and the winner will be picked on the KCLR Breakfast programme on the closest Friday to the end of the last series (Hope it's not too complicated - it'll be good fun). ........
