Hey everyone, my name is Brian and I’m crossing off something that has been on my bucket list for quite some time, I just never had the courage to actually sign up for a triathlon. It’s not the running I’m fearful of, cos I can run. It’s not the cycling I’m fearful of as I have been cycling without stabilisers for some time now.
It’s the swimming that has been the reason why I’ve never signed up for a triathlon before. I can swim, well I can doggy paddle, I just don’t know if I can doggy paddle for 200meters!!
Anyways I’m delighted to be crossing something off my bucket list but more importantly being able to raise funds for the Gavin Glynn foundation while doing so.
Training Update 25th June:
raining so far has been going great especially the core strength work with Alex Gray in psquared performance in Roundwood and I really feel the benefits of these twice weekly sessions.
The morning swims have been a real learning curve for me as this is my weakest area. Loads of area for improvement but all the support and tips from the guys who have completed the King of Greystones last year has been brilliant.
A big push over the remaining weeks with my training and fund raising is required, so your support is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Brian
