Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I have been knowingly living with Parkinson’s since 2012, but like all my fellow Parkies, I had unrecognised symptoms for many years. I have good days and not-so-good days, but so far the condition hasn’t prevented me from living a very fulfilled life, in fact if anything being a Parkie has motivated and driven me to new heights.
This latest challenge, cycling from Mizen to Malin head, 701 km (435 miles)over 5 days is bonkers in many ways, but I will be attempting it with 12 wonderful colleagues from the Adare Cycling Club and looking to raise funds for the Midwest Branch of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland.
We’re all paying ALL our expenses in full, so 100% of donations will go to help people with Parkinson’s who live in and around the Midwest of Ireland.
Parkinson's Ireland aims to assist people with Parkinson's, their families and carers, health professionals and interested others, by offering support, a listening ear, and information on any aspect of living with Parkinson's and we also initiate and fund research into Parkinson's disease, its causes and affects.
