As a cancer survivor and client of Tuam Cancer Care, Pat Healy received great help and care during his recovery. He joined the Strides for Life and Physical Activity Maintenance Group in Tuam Cancer Care in January 2015, and because of this he is now well on the road to recovery and would like to give something back.
In 2015, Pat was able to compete in the Dublin City Marathon raising funds for Tuam Cancer Care. He has since competed in the Achill Island Half Marathon, The Tarmon Barry Half Marathon, The Ballina Half Marathon and the Louisburgh Marathon in 2017, and this year has taken part in the Connemara Half Marathon, The Ballina Half Marathon, The Kinvara Half Marathon and The Portumna Half Maraton, all in preparation for the SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon on Monday 28th October 2018, and is donating all monies received to Tuam Cancer Care.
A fundraising night will take place in the Corralea Court Hotel Tuam on Friday 26th October. Music on the night by the mighty Galway man, Matt Keane from Caherlistrane. Matt will be joined by Colm Naughton and other special guests. More details will be available for this event shortly.
