Thank you for visiting our “I donate .ie” charity page. We have set up this page in memory of our friend Mikey Hussey who passed away earlier this year at the all too young age of 44 from early dementia which is common amongst people who have Downs Syndrome.  

Mikey brought joy into the lives of everyone who were fortunate enough to have met him.  Mikey's mother, Mary, was very involved in the early years of Down Syndrome Ireland, both at county level and nationally.  

Mikey would be very proud knowing that some money is being raised in his memory to help other families, and it is very fitting that he was a keen cyclist himself.  

So, on Saturday 7th July, nine of us will step up to the challenge of cycling 112 miles in one day around the beautiful Ring of Kerry with the purpose of raising as much money as possible for Down Syndrome Ireland, in memory of The Great Mikey Hussey!
