I am fundraising on idonate for an extremely important reason. I lost my very special brother and best friend Joey Fitzgerald on the 24th April  2018. He suffered a severe illness for 8 weeks and sadly passed away. He was the joy in all of our lives and loved by all who came into contact with him. He lived in Australia nearly 10 years and was happily married with a beautiful daughter and a baby on the way. I traveled to Australia to see my seriously ill brother only to discover on arrival of his untimely and devastating death. Thinking of the funeral arrangements at that moment was inconceivable, it was too difficult. We all needed time to process the whole situation. 

The KBRT was contacted by a close friend of Joey and his wife and the charity took over from there. We were all in such a state of shock but they completely took over all the arrangements whilst in Australia and organised to have our beloved Joey brought home to Roscommon, Ireland in early May. They never requested any payment or donation at all. 

We cannot thank Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust enough for being so helpful and supportive in a time of utter despair and in a situation nobody ever wants to experience. I have no idea how we would have organised everything without them as we could barely stand up at this time. 

I never ever imagined we would be needing this charity’s assistance and I urge you to please donate in memory of the very special person my brother Joey was and to help the countless families who unfortunately will need their help into the future.
