Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page on iDonate.ie. Our beautiful baby girl Dearbhal was born sleeping on 6th Oct 2018. Only with the help of great friends on Féileacáin, were we able to bring her home using a cold cot (cuddle cot). This allowed her be with her family for a few days while we came to terms with what was going on. Her brothers remembers this time so well and will cherish it more and more as the years pass.
Phase 2: 15 years and 4 babies later, I am delighted to be participating in VHI Ladies mini marathon. I have to thank my wonderful work colleagues and friends who are running alongside (or way ahead of me-see you at the finish line) and joining me in fundraising for this worthy charity.
Phase 1: I and my family are taking part in Birthday present substitution fromTuesday 1st of January 2019 for the year. Starting with Eoghan in Jan, Kieran in August, Cormac and Turlough on September and myself and Dearbhal in October, we would love if you would donate the price of colouring book or jigsaw here instead.
I've chosen to fundraise for Feileacain - Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.

Why the name FéileacáinA Butterfly lights besides us like a sunbeam …Many of the ancient civilizations believed that butterflies were symbols of the human soul, and in Irish mythology the butterflies, or ‘Féileacáin’, are said to be the spirits of the departed who return to visit their favorite place and their loved ones to reassure them that they are alright.
