On 24th April 2018, Our good Friend Joey Fitzgerald suddenly passed away in Australia where he had been living with his Wife and Daughter.
Joey was a childhood friend of ours, He was Kind,Hard working,Loyal and always had a smile on his face.
Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust were contacted and they assisted Joey's Family in bring back home to Roscommon to be laid to rest.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the body (bodies) of loved one(s) who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.
The Bells set up a repatriation trust To honour their son Kevin, who died in 2013.
The trust, which receives no funding and relies solely on donations, There are no staff and no salaries.
To date Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust have helped bring more than 500 people home since set up in 2013.
On the 24th May this year, a group of us are cycling from Galway to Ballina and return trip the next day totaling 230km, in a bid to raise some funds for Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in appreciation for the assistance they give to bereaved families.
The cyclists include Andrew Glynn, Philip Glynn,Finton Glynn,Mark Glynn,Dominic Quinn, John Niland,
All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
