Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page on iDonate.ie We've chosen to fundraise for Feileacain - Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland in memory of beautiful Baby Joey. Baby Joey's Grandad Jim, aunty Sinead and cousin Shane are taking part in Mullingar Half Marathon on Sunday 17th of March 2019 to fundraise for this very worthy cause.
Feileacain provide their services in every Maternity and Children's hospital in Ireland with their memory boxes and cuddle cots (enabling parents to keep their child beside them in hospital and to wake their child at home). Feileacain also provides support for bereaved siblings and parents.
It is a volunteer led organisation that receives no funding from the government, relying instead soley on people like you to donate and support this great cause. All funds raised here will go directly to Feileacain. This is a cause very close to our hearts as they provided us with support at a time when we felt lost and needed it the most.
We hope you can help by donating whatever you can, so that you can help to support other families in their time of need. Simply click the Donate button above. All donations are processed securely. About the Cause
Féileacáin (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Support)
Why the name FéileacáinA Butterfly lights besides us like a sunbeam …Many of the ancient civilizations believed that butterflies were symbols of the human soul, and in Irish mythology the butterflies, or ‘Féileacáin’, are said to be the spirits of the departed who return to visit their favorite place and their loved ones to reassure them that they are alright.
