The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the world’s great classic treks, There are 12 days of strenuous trekking on this trip. with up to 8 hours a day and at altitudes over 5500m at times. The weather can be harsh, with a combination of snow and frosts. The trekking lodges, known as teahouses, that we stay in on the trek are very simple with only basic facilities.
In preperation for this trip we have undertaken an extensive training programme that has involved hiking some of Irelands most well known hills & mountain, inclding carrauntoohil, galteemore, Mangerton, Moylussa and Keeper hill.
Thank you in advance to everyone who takes the time to donate to this cause.
