April is Autism Awareness month! With this in mind, we are hosting a coffee morning both virtually and at HQ!
Our chosen charity is Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland who are transforming the lives of children with autism and their families. They provide highly trained 'task specific' assistance dogs to children with autism to support them to overcome the sometimes distressing elements of this invisible disability.
Their dogs are specially trained to provide safety and companionship, reduce anxiety and suffering, promote independence, and improve coping mechanisms of children with autism who would otherwise live in a very isolated world.
Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland was founded in 2010 as a primary service, training and placing assistance dogs to children on the autism spectrum who are a flight risk. We are a National Childrens' charity (CHY 19293) with our headquarters in Little Island, Co CorkOur charity provides a valuable service that has life changing effects for both the children on the spectrum and their families.We provide our dogs free of charge but each dog costs us in the region of €25,000 to train and with no gov
