In 2017, I took part in the Galway Bay swim as part a team of four.  My good friend John had recently lost his sister to cancer and this was a fitting tribute to Jane's memory.

Having done it as a team of four, I had the opportunity to take part once again last year as 'Team Mike and Orla' took to the seas.

Having done it as a foursome and a duo, this year I'm going it alone in aid of Cancer Care West.

Unfortunately, cancer is an all too common reality in our community.  Cancer Care West provide incredible support for cancer patients and their familes.  I'm proud to raise money on their behalf and I'd really appreciate your help in doing so.

This is an extraordinary event organised by some remarkable people for such a worthy cause.
