In 2014 I lost my lovely Aunt Doreen to this horrible disease. Everything happened so fast from diagnosis the changes were cruel and this disease was relentless and it wasn't giving up but either was Auntie Doe and she fought it and fought it. While we as a family were still coming to terms with all of this IMNDA were quick to move and supply all the essential equipment that made day to day living a little more comfortable and even though they are stretched and not government funded they kept regular checks and were there each step of the way, for this I will be forever grateful and will continue to do what i can to support this fantastic association

Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in the country providing specialised services to families affected by this terminal condition.
The Association cannot slow the progression of MND or change the outcome but we can alleviate the feelings of isolation and frustration. We offer consistent support to approximately 450 families across Ireland who otherwise would have nowhere else to turn. Everybody with MND has different needs at different stag
