So where do I begin. On the 3rd August 2020, I am part of a group that is taking on one the biggest challenges of our life's and climbing Kilaminjaro for DSI (Down Syndrome Ireland) #Team21. I am taking on this challenge to raise funds for an organisation that helps so many children and adults with Down Syndrome across this beautiful island of ours. While I myself or family do not have experiece or knowledge of this condition, I am inspired by the families and friends who advocate for the wellbeing of people with Down Syndrome. It has open my eyes in a way you cannot imagine.
I met the cutest little dude you will ever meet, Jaxon. His smile is one of the most mesmerising and pure I have ever seen (as you can all see in the pic). His mom Marcela, my mother's neighbor and her wife Elaine have went through over the last year with Jaxon's health I wouldn't wish on anybody. But through all the darkness Jaxon's smile shines through it all. So when Marcela put this up there on FB about climbing Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and funds I said why the hell not- let's do it!
I really appreciate all of you for taking the time to read this and hopefully you can reach into your pockets and donate. All donations welcome.
Jaxon my dude, this is for you ❤
