On Sunday October 27th, we will be running the Dublin City Marathon (26.2 miles / 42 km) 😅 This is an exciting challenge for us, as the most we had ran prior to the marathon training was 13 miles.
We joined Borrisoleigh Track Attack in January 2017, as a means of trying to build up some level of fitness to maybe one day run a 5 km race. Never did we see ourselves ever running more than 10km, let alone a half marathon by the end of that year but it wasn’t long until we had a few more half marathon medals and here we are, a few weeks out from our first marathon! In the wise words of Eliud Kipochee; “No human is limited”.💪🏽
We have decided to use this opportunity as a means of raising funds for two fantastic charities; “Cystic Fibrosis Ireland” and “North Tipperary Hospice”.
Both of these charities work tirelessly each day to provide first class care to those unfortunately dealing with these illnesses. Personally, we are privileged to have this opportunity to do something to give back a little having seen the diligent care and support they have shown and continue to show people in our locality benefiting from the services they provide.
We would greatly appreciated you support as we take on the Dublin City Marathon.
Even the smallest contribution can go towards help our chosen charities! ❤️
