We provide a emergency water rescue service 24/7 365 days a year for along the river Boyne and surrounding areas.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we have utilized our Crews and Equipment to assist in the community where and when needed.This is including
Prescription Collections and deliveries
Shopping / Essentials Delivered
Transport to and from appointments hospital or doctors
Transfers to facilites
Medication deliveries from pharmacies
Post Office runs
Hygiene Products Dispatched
Assisting Vulnerable / Elderly in our community
We are also supporting various organisations ,frontline and groups within the North East such as HSE,LCC,DDS4EP. We also provide assistance to organizations and groups unable to undertake their normal roles.
As a voluntary uit which recieve no state funding we rely on donations,fundraising events and our rescue lotto to raise much needed funds which go towards maintaining the life saving services we provide.During these hard times we are unable to fundraise due to current resctrictions in place from covid 19 and this will impact the operating budget with increased costs.
We currently house 3 vehicles manned around the clock to assist with the covid 19 duties while also maintaining our life saving services within the community.All our members are trained ,garda vetted and carry I.D.
To date we have assisted in helping over 200 plus people in our community ,with no regular income due to restrictions on fundraising events a donation recieved would be greatly appreicated and go towards Fuel Costs,Personal Protection Equipment for our members and general upkeep of the lifesaving service we provide
