Team Emmie is swimming in the Kingdom of Bahrain to raise funds for a very important cancer care charity in the West of Ireland.  My mum, Emmie Lloyd past away in November 2015 and used and appreciated the Cancer Care West services. I've always thought about doing the bay swim in her memory but as I live abroad it hasn't been possible.  This year seeing as it is virtual my wife, Nellie and I (based on our swimming fitness it will kick start a bit of exercise for us) will attempt to cover the 13kms during the month of August here in the Middle East.
