I'm swimming with team Jellyfish Squad; Sinead, Alex , Ro, Jane, Fab, Kasia and Harriet.
I only started properly sea swimming about two weeks ago when I swam out to the first buoy at the forty foot for the first time, and then completed my first 500m swim on Killiney beach on the 1 August 2020. Prior to that I paddled about the forty foot and posted selfies.
I'm terrified of jellyfish, and terrified of strong currents...but sure that just makes it all exciting!? It's for a very worthy cause, so hopefully you'll support me and the team in raising funds for Cancer Care West.
Big shout out to Dee Newell for organising the east coast swimmers, bringing us out swimming every week and throwing us into the deep end, literally!
