Event Details

Saturday 30th January 2021

Burns Supper goes digital for 2021. Following almost twenty years of celebrating Burns Night at Harvey’s Point and more recently, in Cashelard, you are cordially invited to join us online by hosting your own Burns Night from the comfort of your own home. As staying in is the new ‘going out’, this fun event is something to look forward to, which will give everyone a much-needed lift and laugh as we gather together while staying apart.

Live Stream
The live stream will be available on Facebook at 8.30pm on Saturday 30th January. Tune in to
our pre-recorded production of marvellous music and banter from our Scottish and Irish friends such as Gary Blair, Cameron Barnes, Matt Mc Granaghan, Gary Gamble, Richard Hurst and many more. This event is free of charge but we would welcome any donations to Donegal Hospice on our iDonate page.

Menu suggestions - Cock-a- leekie soup, Haggis, Neeps & Tatties - feel free to improvise using mince, turnip and mash topped off with a whisky cream sauce. Shortbread for dessert (try dipping it in whisky and cream -Yum!.) Chris Mc Menamin, Executive Head Chef of Harvey’s Point will be doing some online cookery demonstrations to help you prepare for the event.

Dress up for the occasion - any excuse to get dressed up - if you don’t have a kilt or a tartan outfit, you can make a sash out of tartan fabric. Tartan pyjamas and slippers work too!

Post your photos #VirtualBurnsNight
Share your photos - prize for the photo that best captures the spirit of the evening. Kindly sponsored by Harvey’s Point. Big thanks to Matt Britton for supplying lots of photos from previous Burns Suppers - a lovely trip down memory lane.

So, join the digital celebration - it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, tune in online and raise a glass to the world for Auld Lang Syne. Let’s finish off the first month of the New Year with a smile :-)

Burns Weekend 2022
For now, we can’t party in person but we can look forward to a big Burns Weekend in 2022 at Harvey’s Point and Whoriskey’s of Cashelard. Details available soon.
