This year I am taking part in "10,000,000 Steps For Emma McGuire" to raise money for Irish Community Rapid Response - By Land and Air. Any donations are greatly appreciated!

Emma's Story:
 

I'm Emma McGuire, I'm 22 years old and live in Cork. Almost a year ago I was in a serious car accident. I had several broken bones and I was bleeding internally. I was in a critical condition. I never anticipated something like this happening to me, and sometimes I still find it hard to believe that it did. On that day, I never would have imagined leaving Cork by car and returning by air ambulance. I never thought my life would be reliant on the air ambulance service. I am eternally grateful for the service because without their speed, efficiency, and commitment, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

As I come close to the year of the anniversary of my accident, I have thought more and more about the service and how they helped me. I have been in recovery since last June and it is only now that I have begun walking again. Although I still can’t walk unaided for long periods of time, I want to set myself a challenge. For this reason, I have decided to March through March. With the help of friends and family, I am aiming to reach a total of 10 million steps collectivly  throughout the month of March. All proceeds will go to Irish Community Air Ambulance.
