I'm taking part in the Virtual Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim 2021.
Participants must swim the length of Galway Bay from the Clare coast to the Blackrock Diving Tower - a total of 13km. Because this is a virtual swim, the 13km can be swum in any outdoor swimming venue over the month of August 2021.
The chosen charity for this event is Cancer Care West. All of us know of cancer's dreadful effects on our families and friends. All funds raised here will go directly to Cancer Care West, a great cause.
