I along with a few of my friends are completing the VHI Women's Mini Marathon this year to raise much needed funds for the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre. I will be completing the Mini Marathon in two 5k walks in September.

Like many, cancer has touched my families life and this year I had to deal with my own diagnosis of Thyroid Cancer. Thankfully my prognosis is good I am already on the road to recovery. 

I have fundraised in the past for the Cuisle Centre as I feel it's an invaluable asset to have available in our area. While I thought I may never have to use the service myself, this year I had to reach out to them to help me come to terms with my diagnosis which they are continuing to do so. The Centre is amazing, the people who run it are incredible  and they are so reliant on donations to keep this service available to all who need it - cancer patients, survivors and families.
