Event Details

Kildorrery Community Development CLG are raising funds to redevelop the Old Store Building into a new Community Hub for the people of Kildorrery. The Old Creamery Yard was once the busy hub of Kildorrery life and it is our wish to turn it into the heart of the Kildorrery Community once more.

Our aim is to restore our heritage buildings into a warm welcoming space where all members of our community can meet, while maintaining the integrity of the original structures. From youth groups to retirement groups , from markets to music, from barn dances to bingo, we need a place that we can be proud of and that is accessible to all.

The Store building provides the perfect spot.

Our aim is to complete the Restoration of the Store by the end of October 2021, which is currently underway. The restoration work includes:
- Plastering and insulation of the store building
- Installing a wooden floor
- Construction of a new stage
- Toilet facilities
- Furnishings

The estimated cost of the Store's redevelopment is €280,000 (unfurnished). We have secured a grant of €163,000 from both Ballyhoura Development and Cork County Council. We urgently need your help in raising funds in order to complete this project.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

1. Donate online at idonate.ie/kildorrerystore

2. Donate when Representatives from the Community call at your door.

3. Donations can also be made at the Community Office on Main Street.

The Kildorrery Community Development has been working tirelessly for many years to see this project through. We now need your help to push it to completion by donating in any way you can. Every euro is a step closer to achieving a Community Hub that we can be really proud of and that will provide enjoyment for many years to come. Thank you all!
