Hey all, I hope you are all well. Somehow I've managed to get myself signed up to this event!!

Whilst it will be a challenge to push pedals for 170km around the roads of Kerry, a little bit of short term pain is nothing compared to the challenge people face when faced with a battle against cancer.

There is no doubt that through scientific advances over the years, the odds are becoming much better for people, however the scientific advances most continue with even greater endeavour to find cures from this terrible disease. 

It can be said that I would be happy to take on this challenge for the promise of a pint!!, however on this occassion I would be so delighted if you could help me support this fantastic organisation. The work that they do is beyond amazing. 

I know that on this cycle, no matter how tough the conditions, wind, rain, hills, lack of training;) etc etc....... I will survive it! Unfortunately for some people battling cancer that confidence of survival may not be so certain. Organisations like 'Breakthrough Cancer Research' work tirelessly to make a difference and to give people some more certainty around one of the most important things in life,  surviving!!

Any help you can give is much appreciated, and will help many many people.

PS:  Training is going well, I'm currently concentrating training on the recovery phase of the event! I think another few weeks and I'll be ready for it!!! ;)
