• An Garda Síochána are celebrating their centenary this year and Gardaí in the Bray District wish to celebrate the hard work and commitment of emergency services in the Bray District.  What better way to celebrate the centenary by putting together emergency services from across the Bray District and doing a fundraiser for Purple House. The fundrasier will entail running 10km in uniform, yes running in FULL operational uniform from Greystones to Bray on Sunday 18th September 2022 with start time from the Marina Greystones at 11.00am. Members from Bray and Greystones Fire Service, Greystones Coast Guard, Paramedics from National Ambulance Service, First Responders and Poseidon Life-Saving Group, Civil Defence and An Garda Síochána will participate in this 10km fun run.
• Live music at the finish line will be performed by the amazing Harbour Ukulele Band! East Coast FM will also be there on the day with live updates and interviews.

Purple House, based  at 2 Duncairn Tce, Quinsborough Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow,  was selected as the local charity that we wished to run in aid of, due to their estential work and commitment they do as a cancer support organisation.

Founded in 1990, they provide Cancer Support & Psycho-Oncology services to people affected by Cancer, Supporting Cancer patients and families affected by Cancer, not only in Bray but across the nation. They provide services such as Telephone Counselling & Psychotherapy Service, Telephone Support Service, Support Groups, programmes and Classes through Zoom from the comfort of your own home, hospital, or care setting. They also provide in-house services such as Reflexology, Physiotherapy, Exercise, Massage, Nutrition Classes and Children's Support Groups. 

Purple House relies on donations from the community to run these esstenial services.
