Your support is greatly needed. A friend of mine, Pádraig Schaler, was badly injured last summer while cycling to work in America on a J1 visa, and has remained in a coma since. After receiving an operation in Boston, he came home and spent a number of months in Beaumont Hospital. It soon became clear, however, that Ireland did not have the resources necessary to care for someone in his condition, so he has since been moved to Hamburg where the quality of his care is much higher and more satisfactory. Pádraig is an incredibly brave and strong man and bit by bit, he is getting better. However, his family have been placed under a huge burden financially.

So a group of Pádraig's friends have decided to undertake a challenge this April the 13th - to swim off every coastal county in Ireland(17 counties) in total over the course of two day period. It will be a challenge but nothing compared to the challenge Pádraig and his family are going through at the minute. I would really appreciate any support you can give to the cause. It would mean so much to so many. All the money raised will go directly to the Caring for Padraig fund, administered by a Committee independent of the family.
