Hey Im Doug Leddin, In June 2012 I was diagnosed with Crohn's, a disease I now live with on a day to day basis. Its become a part of my life. It effects my mood,health, eating, drinking, sports, gym, and travel.Â
There is good days, and great days but they are overshadowed by bad days, awful days and horrific days.
Its a pain that I cant describe nor like talking about too much, but since being diagnosed the ISCC website alone has helped me learn more about the disease and has been a great source of information for me.
After completing the rock and roll challenege in August and learning that the Las Vegas one was for Crohn's ,Bernard agreed that it would be very suitable and beneficial to run this race and like a true gent and great agreed to do this with me.
Running and excercise helps me cope with the pain every day and im so glad im able to do it. Instead of going to Las Vegas and not fundrasising we decided to do this as part of a Fundraiser to increase awareness for the ISCC and also to raise as much money as we could for them.Â
If you donate and share this page it will not only allow us to compete in this race but will also raise much needed awarness and money for the ISCC, who do a huge amount of work for people like me.
