Paul Durcan, goal keeper with the Donegal senior football team and All-Star goalkeeper for 2012 and 2014, will take part in this year’s Great Ethiopian Run on Sunday, November 23rd in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. Paul will be acting as ambassador and fundraiser with Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM) on the day. The 10km run will be through the streets of Addis Ababa with the added challenge of the 2,300m altitude. The event has been running since 2001 and now has up to 25,000 participants annually from all over the world.

Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM)
VLM are committed to working with and supporting some of the poorest people in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Burkina Faso. We do this through our partner projects run by the Vincentian Fathers and Daughters of Charity and our dedicated, dynamic and skilled volunteers, both at home and abroad.
For €30 per month or €360 per year you can sponsor the school place for a child from Atse School to go to St Mary's in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This is vital for children in Atse, whose own s
