Bella’s story

Hi everyone

We are raising funds to donate to Children’s Hospital Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin and The Jack and Jill Foundation of which both charities are very close to our hearts.

Our beautiful baby girl Bella Elsie Boland sadly passed away last year two week shy of what would have been her 1^st birthday. Bella was born with a very serious heart condition. We spent the first 6 months of her life with her in Crumlin hospital waiting for home support to be approved. In the interim during this 6 month period the Doctors and Nurses at Crumlin Hospital worked endlessly to ensure that Bella received the much needed care and attention, which we will always be so very grateful for. Sourcing the level of care to get Bella home proved extremely difficult and it was at this time when The Jack and Jill Foundation stepped in and provided the much needed care and support allowing us to get our baby girl home. If it wasn’t for The Jack and Jill Foundation Bella would never have been able to experience the warmth and joy of home life with her siblings, her Mammy and her Daddy. The time that The Jack and Jill Foundation gave us with our daughter was invaluable, it was the most precious gift and one we will cherish forever.

Although the love and support we received from both Children’s Hospital Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin and The Jack and Jill Foundation was priceless we hope to raise funds to contribute and help them continue to provide their amazing care and services to other families in need, we are forever thankful for all they did for our very special baby girl Bella.
