I'm delighted to be accepted for my 5th Galway Bay Swim in memory of our Michelle.It's hard to believe it's 6 years since we lost her. I can tell you all now that Michelle was one of the 221+ women affected by the Cervical Check Scandal.

I will be one of 130+ swimmers swimming across galway bay to raise money for Cancer Care West. As a reminder, Cancer Care West were of huge support to me and our two girls, through the process of fighting her cancer and helping us to deal with the aftermath.

I am doing this swim again so that others, that become affected by cancer, can have a place to go for help.

I am asking for sponsorship to fund Cancer Care West's support, but only if you can afford some. Times are even tighter now than the Covid years.

I am delighted that for the 5th year, Brian Martyn (Boat captain) and Niall Murphy (Crew) will guide me across the bay, feed me and hopefully pretend to be RTE (Facebook Live) for the day. And my good friend and swim buddy Debi Coffey will also crew, to make sure the other two don't tease me too much from the boat :-)
