Hey everyone!

In June 2018 I will be travelling to Mbeya, Tanzania to volunteer with NUI Galway's Draiocht Society and The Olive Branch for Children, Tanzania. The Olive Branch for Children helps remote communities in Tanzania to access their primary needs and establishes programmes that target the most vulnerable.

The focus of the charity is on HIV/AIDS prevention & care, early childhood education, food security and vulnerable children & women. The goal: to establish community-led programs that empower remote communities and generate models that can be replicated in communities throughout Tanzania and elsewhere.

My classmates and I will be volunteering on the 'Feet First' Programme, a Podiatry clinic that cares for all lower limb problems encountered in the communities. This was run with great success last summer and we hope to continue its success this coming June.

I have set up this page with the aim of raising some money before I head over in June. All proceeds raised will go directly to The Olive Branch for Children. It's a very worthy charity and all donations made would be very much appreciated!
