Pieta first opened its doors in Lucan, County Dublin in 2006. Since then we have seen and helped over 65,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm. Pieta provide free counselling to those with suicidal ideation, those engaging in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide. Staff are fully qualified and provide a professional one-to-one therapeutic service.
In 2020 Run 4 Pieta created a real sense of togetherness amongst the GAA community, whilst raising much need funds for Pieta. The last 12 months have been very challenging for all of society including our sports clubs, which provide such an important outlet for everyone involved.
This year Pieta are opening Run4Pieta2021 to all GAA clubs as a 50/50 shared fundraising event. Participants can run, walk, cycle or do whatever your club decides to take part, we are putting the concept into your hands. Your Club can take part for 24 hours/48 hours or even 72 hours consecutively over any weekend in June.
We want to provide clubs with a platform to raise much needed funding for themselves as well as supporting Pieta
idonate was established in 2011 to assist charities & non profits in fundraising. Our aim is to provide tools for both charities and fundraisers to help raise much needed funds.
