Epilepsy Ireland
In May 2017 at the age of 25, I was diagnosed with acute Epilepsy (it's not actually cute at all!). I had my first tonic-clonic seizure in December 2016 and went through 6 months of various tests before my diagnosis. I hadn't a clue about Epilepsy, I thought it was something you had from a young age and seizures were triggered simply by flashing lights, I was wrong! My seizures are triggered by stress, lack of sleep, hormones and many other day to day things. Epilepsy Ireland have helped me understand more about myself and others living with Epilepsy so I would love to give back to them for their amazing work.
Down Syndrome Ireland
I was lucky enough to have a sibling with Down Syndrome. My younger sister, Lois, unfortunately passed away shortly before her 2nd birthday but she is always close to me. There is something special about everyone, but the love and sensitivity you receive from people with Down Syndrome is incomparible. I would love to give back to Down Syndrome Ireland for the positive, uplifting and exciting work they do. They are always busy with events and fun days and they deserve as much support as they can get!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, your donation will mean a lot to me and the charities above. If you would rather meet me in person than donate online, let me know and we can arrange that. :-)
