The Breeda McGrath Fund was established to support patients and their families who are financially impacted by cancer. 

The loss of income as a result of being sick, the heating bills the car parking charges and more recently the pandemic can all adversely impact a family's income when someone has cancer.

In fact, the average drop in the income of cancer patients was €1,527 per month, according to the Irish Cancer Society The Real Cost of Cancer survey, or €18,323 per annum. The average additional cost is €756 per month.

The Breeda McGrath fund provides over €20,000 of support for families financially impacted by cancer each year. We hope to grow the fund even further and create even more support.
