Kildare Autism Network

Kildare Autism Network (K.A.N.) is a registered charity and support group for people on the Autism Spectrum and their families.

 It is a voluntary organisation, which has been set up by parents to try to provide a supportive and positive setting for all family members, to encourage engagement with others, share information and experiences and to make new friends.

Membership

Membership is €20 per annum per family, this includes access to our mailing lists of events, groups etc, a Membership card, currently subsidising Music, Swimming lessons, Bowling, playdates for our members and much more!

 

We keep our members up to date with:

·       Upcoming talks and events that might be of interest to our members

·       Information on available courses

·       Government and Department of Education policies

where your money goes

We provide social outlets for young people and adults who have ASD and help to identify and link in with services and professionals in the local area who can provide appropriate supports.

We also provide workshops, information sessions, training, liaise with schools to raise awareness of ASD and assist in providing the supports that are needed for students and families.

Kildare Autism Network was set up as a Voluntary Network & has been in operation by parents of children with Autism since 2015.

We receive no government funding and we rely on annual memberships & our fundraising events which we host to keep supporting families throughout Kildare & surrounding areas.

We were granted official Charitable Status in 2018.
