Peter McVerry Trust is committed to reducing homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. Peter McVerry Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger persons with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model and within a framework that is based on equal opportunities, dignity and respect.
Since 1983 Peter McVerry Trust has been working to tackle homelessness, social disadvantage and drug misuse. During that time we have supported thousands of young people on the margins of Irish Society.
At present our services include prevention, housing, homeless, drugs treatments and under 18’s services. In 2015, we supported 4,705 individuals across our many services, and helped 171 people leave homelessness and move into a home of their own.
Peter McVerry Trust provides a wide range of housing services to help ensure as many people as possible experience the positive outcomes that a home can bring.
So much of this work would not be possible without the continued generosity and kindness of our supporters.
