Dunleer Parish
St. Brigid's Parish Church is at the heart of Dunleer, as Dromin and Philipstown churches are at the heart of those communities too. As a parish we strive to build community and witness to the values of Christ as members of the Roman Catholic Church overseen by the Archdiocese of Armagh in Ireland.
We rely on a regular income stream to manage our outgoings for the upkeep of our sacred spaces and ministries of the parish. In recent years we have acquired a virtual community as a result of our online outreach efforts. People may now tune in to our liturgies via our webcam live-stream service and connect on social media using our Facebook page which has just over 10,000 followers. In addition, we have a website www.dunleerparish.ie which is kept up to date with the daily gospel readings, prayers, local news, events and links to our Parish YouTube channels and live-stream service.
Our traditional methods of raising funds through envelopes and collections at Mass have been impacted significantly due to the pandemic and the restrictions on attendance at Mass. However, we have also gained and welcomed many people from various parts of the world who join us regularly online in communion with each other in prayer and we are most grateful for that.

It is hoped that through your generosity, this online appeal will help us continue our work and maintain the churches and our cemeteries. We hope that this may be a more convenient way to contribute to the parish in our present time and if you prefer to set up a standing order or any other mode of payment please contact Fr. Michael Murtagh at [email protected] or phone the parish office at 353 (0)41 6851278.
Buíochas ó chroí agus Dia dhaoibh.
