where your money goes
Youth Work Ireland Midlands works to develop the potential of young people and to strengthen the communities of Ireland through quality youth services.Aside from funded projects, we have a number of programmes and resources that are not funded, where we rely on the generosity of our communities during fundraising events. Some of our beneficiaries include our Youth Cafes in Edenderry and Mullingar as well as some much needed maintenance of some of our project buildings.
We have a Youth Forum and Youth Action group who are facilitated by some of our staff and volunteers but don't receive specific funding for their work. Our volunteer led clubs are also a vital part of our service however they rely on their own time and efforts to maintain their clubs in rural communities.
Overall, we offer young people from every background a place to go, a listening ear and support if they need it. These services are run by local people and the programmes are run based on the need in the local community
