2020 will be my second year participating in the sleep out for Simon event, and this year I've connected with a couple of friends that I've met living in Galway city, to work with my in my fundraising efforts, to show even more support for those facing homelessness in the West. So on October 2nd, me and a few mates will be camping out for the night in solidarity with those who do not have a place to call home, and we could really use your support! We will be raffling off a variety of prizes in order to aid this, so keep up to date with our efforts, and every donation helps! Last year between fundraising events and individual donations, I raised just over 1,000euro and the sleep out garnered nearly 100,000euro - so this year we'd love to smash that target!

 

2020 has been a year that has taught all of us to appreciate the little things and all that we have, and has shone a light on how hard it must be to not have a safe haven to call your own. All those months spent in lockdown, and to think, some people had nowhere to go... So now it's more important than ever, I feel, to show our support for those facing issues with housing and associated securities, and to show that we are there for them even though we have to keep our distance because of Covid-19. <3

100% of proceeds will go directly towards Galway Simon’s Homelessness Prevention Services here in the West ensuring the charity can safeguard these essential supports during the Covid-19 pandemic.
